Update
Is there already an earlier version of Semansys Taxonomy Viewer installed on your computer? If so, simply update your Viewer free of charge. Read in the highlights how to do it. All versions of the Viewer are independent. If you want to have them all, no problem! |

Instructions
After installation, use the file menu to open the taxonomy of your choice or the example taxonomy ‘VICO’. The VICO taxonomy is great to learn about the general concept of a taxonomy and it will help you figure out the more complex taxonomies. |

Note that taxonomies usually consist of a number of folders. You should look for files with the extension xsd in these folders. Some files simply contain lists of taxonomy elements (reporting items) without any relationships between those (unused elements). If you open these in the viewer you will see nothing since the option to show unused elements is set to no by default. To view the elements, tick the box ‘show unused elements’ under Display Option at the right side of your screen. Alternatively, look for xsd files that do contain structure. |
