These new features, as well as our advanced reporting functionalities, are only available in the new Taxonomy Viewer 3.0 which is for sale from this web site. This version 3.0 is not available as an update of previous versions of Semansys Taxonomy Viewer. You are free to use both versions side by side or to just continue using the old Taxonomy Viewer 2.3.1. |

Start exploring
After installation, use the file menu to open the taxonomy of your choice or the example taxonomy ‘VICO’. The VICO taxonomy is great to learn about the general concept of a taxonomy and it will help you figure out the more complex taxonomies. |

Note that taxonomies usually consist of a number of folders. You should look for files with the extension xsd in these folders. Some files simply contain lists of taxonomy elements (reporting items) without any relationships between those (unused elements). If you open these in the viewer you will see nothing since the option to show unused elements is set to no by default. To view the elements, tick the box ‘show unused elements’ under Display Option at the right side of your screen. Alternatively, look for xsd files that do contain structure. |
