	The XBRL Enterprise Manager solution creates a centrally managed reporting environment in which corporate and local reporting requirements are defined. These definitions includes all properties of the reporting environment, such as the reporting entity structure, the reporting elements, dimensions and the mapping to the legacy systems of the organization. In the XBRL Enterprise Manager this is combined to describe the specific reporting requirements per individual entity. The solution can also be described as a “reporting meta-data management system”.

	Depending on the number of sectors, countries and industries a corporate is active in, a corporation is faced with a growing number of taxonomies. The XBRL Enterprise Manager allows for describing and utilizing the public taxonomies relevant for the corporate or one of its subsidiaries.

	The XBRL Enterprise Manager allows you to make the sub selection of taxonomy elements which are relevant for your reporting. This is needed as no company will ever have to report on all the elements in a given public taxonomy. The user can create and maintain sub-sets per taxonomy to be used by the company or its subsidiaries.

	In most companies subsidiaries are required to report more, more detailed and more frequent on different subjects than the regulators are asking for. For this the XBRL Enterprise Manager offers the possibility to describe company reporting elements, based on which company taxonomies can be created. This means that new elements in XBRL Enterprise Manager can instantly be used as company specific taxonomies.

	Some regulators require segmental or dimensional reporting, such as revenue per product group or per region, or loans per maturity. The European banking taxonomy (Corep) uses about 50 different dimensions. For internal reporting dimensions are used even more intensively.
